Vision:

The iPSC Core Facility was created as the main research site focusingĀ on the applications of human pluripotent stem cells including embryonic stem cells induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC) within the University of Macau. The Core will serve as an idea hub focusing on stem cell biology, and cultivate new technology development in Macau research community.

Mission:

Our mission is to accelerate stem cell research in the Institute by providing investigators consultation, technical services and training in human pluripotent stem cell technology. Our facility provides training and technical support in the maintenance and derivation of human iPSC cells. We also offer cell culture quality control, as well as cell banking and distribution. We encourage researchers from various disciplines to use our facility to generate iPSC and ESC lines useful for their own particular research programs. We will also collaborate with investigators to validate new technologies, and establish unique procedures for specific project. The research in the core facility will involve efforts to better understand the mechanisms underlying reprogramming as well as to accumulate hands-on experience to optimize operating procedures.
